  1. All of the Bill of Rights sets up a basic society of right and wrong for United States citizens to live in. There are rules to the justice system, for defense, individual states, and rules defining what rights are given and cannot be taken from people. Te later amendments focus on rights that were missed out on, such as female and ethnic rights, and more specific government and tax rights. These rights are applied to keep order to the United States.

  2. "High Court OKs Routine Testing of Students for Drugs : Education: Ruling involves high school athletes but has potential for exams of all pupils. Children don't have the same Fourth Amendment rights as adults, justices say."
Student athletes and regular students will have to undergo random piss tests and pupil testing. There was a 6-3 ruling that was upheld in a small Oregon town. The Fourth Amendment doesn't allow government officials to search someone without some "individualized suspicion" that the person is violating the law. It does not apply to school children in this case. A drug infested school could harm the other students and faculty in learning purposes. Urine testing has costly problems. What if a student refuses to take one? What happens then? A school board could be sued for violating a child's right to an education if it bars a student from school simply for refusing to take a drug test. The Vernonia School District in Oregon limits the drug testing from 7-12 grade. If you refuse to take the drug test you are not allowed to participate in extracurricular activities.
I agree with the school districts doing this because if you plan to play a sport in college you will be getting drug tested. In my opinion you should not be doing drugs. Also, this does not violate the 4th amendment right because it can harm the other people in the school and there ability to learn.
